25 YEARS β WE WILL NEVER FORGET
As we commemorate the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, members of the Mastic Volunteer Ambulance Company came together to place American flags in solemn remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost on that tragic day.
For Mastic Volunteer Ambulance Company, September 11th will forever hold a deeply personal meaning.
Among those we remember is our own Kevin J. Smith, a member of Mastic Volunteer Ambulance Company and a member of FDNY HazMat Company 1, who made the ultimate sacrifice at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
Each flag placed serves as a symbol of remembrance, honor, and respect β for Kevin, for every innocent life taken, for the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and for the families whose lives were forever changed.
Twenty-five years have passed, but our promise remains as strong today as it was in 2001. We will continue to honor their lives, remember their sacrifice, and ensure that future generations understand the significance of that day.
